Clay Batchelor grew up in Central Florida. He obtained his undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Virginia, and his law degree from William and Mary School of Law in 1995. After finishing law school, Mr. Batchelor began his career as an associate with Donald Wright, with whom he joined as partner in 1998. Mr. Batchelor is a member of the Bar in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. He spends most weekends in Sperryville, Virginia.


Andrew Friedman grew up in South Florida. He attended the University of Florida where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in journalism and a minor in business administration. He obtained his law degree from The George Washington University Law School in 2011. Prior to joining Wright & Batchelor, he completed a litigation fellowship with an animal protection organization in Los Angeles, and then worked as a corporate attorney with Paxton Law Group in D.C. He is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia and Florida.


Donald Wright completed his undergraduate degree at Michigan State University and received his J.D. from George Washington University School of Law. Mr. Wright began his legal career at the former Williams, Myers and Quiggle, and quickly became a partner of that firm. Mr. Wright left Williams, Myers and Quiggle to start his own practice in 1981. In 1998, he established the current firm with Mr. Batchelor. Mr. Wright passed away in November, 2016.
